WHere is an easy version of a beverage featured on a new cocktail list. It's a large-volume premix that is packed with the essence of the festive period, making it excellent for a festive gathering. Any leftover cordial for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or for more rounds of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 people
For the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
To prepare the Cordial: Put the listed items into a pot, bring to a gentle boil, agitating to dissolve. Then, remove from the stove allowing it to cool fully. Transfer to a sterilised bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it will last for about one month.
For the Cocktail Base: Combine every liquids into a big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then strain best through a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.
To serve: Add 85ml of the cocktail base into your stirring glass containing ice, and stir lightly for a minute until cold. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with the cranberries adding the final touch with a brief mist of the essential oil over the drink.
